Canadian Positive People Network (CPPN)
Réseau canadien des personnes séropositives (RCPS)

An independent network for and by people living with HIV and HIV co-infections in Canada
Un réseau indépendant pour et par les personnes séropositives et avec des co-infections au Canada

Our mission

As a people's network, the CPPN is at the forefront of the HIV response in Canada, helping to ensure that the movement is coordinated nationally, provincially, regionally, and locally to benefit the affected people and communities, and that we are connected with the global HIV response.

The CPPN aims to work with AIDS service organizations, service providers, partner organizations, policy makers, and funders so that all persons and communities affected by HIV and HIV co-infections are engaged, empowered and have access to holistic supports and improved social determinants of health.

Our principles and values

  • Dignity
  • Equity
  • Healthy Living
  • Freedom from stigma and discrimination

The CPPN acknowledges that what is known as Canada today is defined by its present-day geo-political boundaries; both Indigenous peoples to this land and settlers now live and share the soil of this nation.

As persons living with HIV and HIV co-infections, and as members of a Network that spans Canada, we stand in solidarity with our Indigenous brothers and sisters whose communities are highly impacted by the HIV epidemic as a result of this country’s colonial past; we are committed to working to end this epidemic collaboratively and in a culturally-respectful way.
